While saluting Sant Ravidas ji on his birth anniversary, we remember his great messages. On this occasion, we reiterate our resolve for a just, harmonious and prosperous society in line with his vision. Following his path, we are serving and empowering the poor through various initiatives.

Sant Ravidas (also known as Raidas) was a mystic poet-saint of the Bhakti movement, social reformer and spiritual figure during the 15th to 16th century.

He was born in the village of Sir Gobardhanpur, near Varanasi in circa 1450 to Mata Kalsi and Santokh Dass who belonged to an untouchable leather-working Chamar community. Spending most of his time in spiritual pursuits at the banks of the Ganges, Guru Ravidas taught removal of social divisions of caste and gender, and promoted unity in the pursuit of personal spiritual freedom. His devotional verses were included in the Guru Granth Sahib.
