RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das named Governor of the year

Reserve Bank of India’s Governor Shaktikanta Das has been named Governor of the year by the Central Banking.  

The recognition under Central Banking Awards 2023 comes for his contributions in cementing critical reforms, overseeing world-leading payments innovation (UPI) and steering India through difficult times with a steady hand and well-crafted turn of phrase.  


The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) was named the Central bank of the year for its extraordinary success in maintaining financial and macroeconomic stability during the extreme shock in the face of Ukraine-Russia crisis.
