Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in a video message on twitter has said that the city of Visakhapatnam will become the new capital of the state of Andhra Pradesh and he will be shifting there soon.

I invite you to our beautiful state for the Andhra Pradesh Global Investors Summit to be held on the 3rd & 4th of March in Visakhapatnam.

Experience the ease of doing business in our state and partake in our vibrant culture.

Nine years ago, Telangana state was carved out of Andhra Pradesh and the Hyderabad became the capital of the new state of Telangana.

Amaravati, on the banks of the Krishna River was considered as the capital of AP for several years but finally the choice of the port city Visakhapatnam has prevailed.
