India Introduces Guidelines for International Arrivals at the Airports

In view of fast evolving global COVID-19 pandemic scenario, India has introduced new guidelines for international arrivals in supersession of guidelines issued on the subject on 21st November 2022. The new guideline came in effect today on 24th December 2022 at 10.00 Hrs IST.  

As per the new guideline,

  • All travellers should preferably be fully vaccinated in their Country. 
  • precautionary measures to be followed (preferable use of masks and following physical distancing) 
  • Any passenger having symptoms of COVID-19 during travel shall be isolated as per standard protocol 
  • Thermal screening on arrival  
  • 2% of the total arriving passengers in the flight to undergo random post arrival testing at the airport . Children under 12 years of age are exempted from post-arrival random testing 
  • Treatment/isolation as per laid down standard protocol.
