German Embassy in India celebrates Naatu Naatu’s victory at Oscar in Old Delhi

German Ambassador to India and Bhutan, Dr Philipp Ackermann, has shared a video where he and members of the embassy celebrated Oscar success of the Nattu Nattu song. The video was shot in Old Delhi.

He wrote:  Germans can’t dance? Me & my Indo-German team celebrated #NaatuNaatu’s victory at #Oscar95 in Old Delhi. Ok, far from perfect. But fun!

Earlier, Korean Embassy in India had shared their Naatu Naatu dance cover on 26th February 2023 prior to its victory at 95th Academy awards 2023.  

Naatu Naatu is a popular Telugu-language song from action thriller film RRR by SS Rajamouli involving N. T. Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan dancing together. It was the first Indian film song to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song. It also won the Best Original Song award at the 80th Golden Globe Awards, making it the first Asian as well as the first Indian song to win the award.
