Consulate in San Francisco attacked, India lodges strong protest with the US

After London, extremists have attacked Indian Consulate in San Francisco.  

Ministry of External Affairs of India has lodged strong protest with the USA. In a meeting with the US Charge d’Affaires in New Delhi, India conveyed its strong protest at the vandalisation of the property of the Consulate General of India, San Francisco. The US Government was reminded of its basic obligation to protect and secure diplomatic representation. It was asked to take appropriate measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents.  
 
Indian Embassy in Washington D.C. also conveyed concerns to the US State Department along similar lines.

The U.S. State Department, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA) has condemned the attack on Sunday against the Indian Consulate in San Francisco. Their message said, “violence against diplomatic facilities within the U.S. is a punishable crime. It is our priority to defend the security & safety of these facilities & the diplomats who work within them”.
