Inflation (Wholesale Price Index based) declines to 5.85% for November-2022 against 8.39% in October

The annual rate of inflation based on all India Wholesale Index (WPI) number has declined to 5.85% (Provisional) for the month of November, 2022 (over November, 2021) against 8.39% recorded in October, 2022.  

This reduction in inflation is attributed to fall in prices of food articles, basic metals, textiles, chemicals & chemical products and paper & paper products as compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.
