People of the Dungti village, near Demjok in eastern Ladakh ge tap water even at -30°

Jal Jeevan Mission JJM effect: LAC Border village Dungti near Demjok in eastern Ladakh get tap water even at -30° C 

Under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) Scheme, households in all villages along LAC with China have tap water. 

Use of proper insulation techniques has made it possible to ensure drinking water at doorsteps during ongoing winter.  

The Spituk monastery situated at hillock used to receive supply of water during winter only through tankers earlier. Now the monastery receiving tap water supply.
